I am having issues sending email on my btinternet.com account. Emails sent whilst on holiday using my iphone dont seem to have got through. Am also having issue receiving some mail. Have logged onto email via separate device on webmail, and get following message when trying to send simple test emails:
Sorry your email could not be delivered due to content policy reasons. Please check your message content for URLs, content and subject matter that could be construed as Malware, Spam or Phishing before retrying. (6-1-3-1) ID (613006A90993AC4F) [Err code: 553] |
Can someone help please?
Hi @KLD66,
Welcome to our Community.
I am sorry to see that you're having problems using your email address on holiday. This error message can happen if you're abroad, or even in the UK, if the connection you are using has a bad reputation. In other words, the IP address that you use to connect online has been blacklisted.
You will can check to see if it has been blacklisted using the MX Toolbox's search
Thanks

Thank you. I am at a hotel overseas and I need to be able to use my emails. There is no mobile data signal here so I can only use WiFi at hotel. Is there a way around the issue?
Good morning @KLD66,
The IP address would need to be removed from any blacklists. This is something that the hotel may need to pick up with their ISP. They could provide the hotel with a new IP address depending on the service that they have with them.
Do you have access to a VPN service? If not, I would recommend looking into trustworthy VPN's that may have a free trial or are free to use. They would assign you a different IP address from your phone or device. Hopefully, the IP address that they assign isn't blacklisted either. You can check that with the previous link that I sent.
Thanks
DanielS
