Extension cable for broadband

92A5750E-FA0F-40FF-96D5-83A2E5BED411.jpeg

hi.    Fitting an extension cable from the mastersocket to another room.  I’ve tagged the red wire to connector 4 and the white to connector 5.   The previous connector used these numbers but I’m concerned this must be different as I can’t get a dial tone.   Thanks in advance

Re: Extension cable for broadband

Are you a BT broadband customer

what do you intend to use the old extension for?

Sorted it

2 white and 5 red

working fine now but just want to check this is safe.    There’s a built in filter at master socket also
