FTTP Cable

I am due to have Openreach connect FTTP to my home on 30 March. I live in a new-build (5years old) which has recently had FTTP cable pulled up to the property at ground level outside of the front door (behind a grey box and ducting/capping). I would like to prepare an entry point for the fibre cable, through the cavity wall, onto the first floor of my house. Could anyone please confirm the diameter of the fibre cable which Openreach will need to pull through the cavity wall. Thanks for you input in advance.

(I wish to do this myself because I do not trust anyone to drill through my front wall without chipping the brickwork, as well as working at height.)

Re: FTTP Cable

The cable isn’t very thick, only about 6mm but you need a 12mm hole for the Internal/External Lead In Kit.

The Engineer, unless a Contractor will have to drill a 12.5mm hole at ground level to deploy their Tetra System. That’s a method of attaching their ladder to the wall, Sky have been using it for years.
