Openreach have been installing FTTP in our road for the last 6 weeks, after the first few days 6 weeks ago where they installed a Blue cord to each house. The Openreach engineers now arrive about once a week for just over half a day, do some work in the trunking underground with some cable then dissapear for a week then do the same again. Is this slow progress normal?. We have also received a letter from K-Com saying they will be installing FTTP in the road shortly, speaking to people in the road say whoever installs first will get their custom, K-Com have indicated they will take 2 weeks once they start. So it looks if BT/Openreach have a problem at the speed they are progressing. Is this normal for Openreach I ask?
Presumably, with K-com you are in the Hull area.
It’s Openreach on this side of the country. They have been busy now for the same period of time, and we await firm news of installation. It’s a community project locally, based on applications for grants.
Suspect that the install to the home will complete around mid- June, when restrictions settle down.
