FTTP / Landline.

I`ve got an install date of 28th august for FTTP, i dont need to keep a phoneline right? thats with BT aswell, i`ve been with them over a decade now and had no plans to switch but i`ve always hated the fact i have to pay a line rental for something i dont use IE a landline telephone.

At the minute the Phone Package comes as standard with the Internet. With FTTP you’ll either retain your Copper Phone Service until such time they switch you over to VOiP or you’ll get it immediately with the FTTP.

If you don’t want or use the line have you not looked into FTTP Service Providers who offer DSL Services only? They do exist but bear in mind the cost of Broadband has been offset against the price of Line Rental for years so if you think by ditching the Land line you’re going to save £20+ a Month you’ll not.

The line rental also covers rental of the line used to deliver the broadband as well remember
