I'm going to be purchasing BT's full fibre broadband soon as it is available in my area. Would it be possible to have it installed upstairs in my office room?

Possibly, you will need to talk to the engineer on the day if it is feasible.

Re: FTTP upstairs?
That is what I did. Make sure access is clear and straightforward.

Re: FTTP upstairs?
So was the engineer happy to place it upstairs? My sons room with PS5 /xbox etc is directly above the master socket in hall so might ask him to place it upstairs or downstairs at master socket with him / her feeding an ethernet cable (one i have ) through to sons room directly above. Can only ask, if they refuse..will most likely just ask to be installed upstairs.

Re: FTTP upstairs?
Probably no reason why they wouldn’t install the ONT in an upstairs room if asked , but the cabling to it from the CSP probably run on the external wall to the first floor , if you were to request the ONT to be sited on the ground floor , any Ethernet cabling to the first floor would be your own responsibility
