We have just moved to BT and received 2 Essential Digital Home Phones. The text in the display on one of the handsets is very faint so it cannot be read. I cannot find anywhere in the menu that allows you to increase the brightness. Struggling to get hold of anyone on the help line so cannot find out if it is a faulty handset. We have been sent 2 slightly different models so not sure whether this is the source of the problem. The handset with the text that is impossible to read is labelled (Type A) and the handset that has a clear display is (Type B).
Does anyone know if this is a fault on the handset or if there is anything that we can do to be able to actually read the text on the screen?
Can you unpair from hub and then reset phone Then pair again with hub
Thank you for the suggestion but I have tried resetting to factory settings and the screen remains unreadable. I have also checked for updates to the software but it says it is up to date, although the firmware is different on both handsets. The one where display can't be read is X42_BT_H30209 and the handset that works ok is V3.0_BT_015.
Looking through instruction there appears to be display options under settings and a heading screen saver plus other screen adjustments. Have you tried this. I have the advanced phones and newer version so different
Yes tried changing the settings. Both handsets are set up identically but one handset is very clear to read and the other is so dark it cannot be read
Then you need to phone 150 and ask for replacement
Thank you for trying to help me solve. I have tried 150 but really long wait and haven't managed to get through yet
