I've just upgraded from FTTC to FTTP and everything works fine. I'm using the BT hub at the moment but would prefer to use my Draytek. This was set up correctly for an ADSL connection but with the shift to full fibre those settings are now redundant.
There is a WAN port on the router and I was hoping it would be straightforward plug and play type deal but no such luck.
Does anyone know what the settings should be or have any pointers on where to find out?
TIA.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You just need to configure the PPPoE username and password on the WAN port.
Username bthomehub@btbroadband.com
Password BT
Same problem here. Tried that - setup appears correct - no connection at all.
Draytek Vigor 2862ac - checked with Draytek before purchasing - assured me it would work with no problems.
Not for me, apparently.
Are you on FTTP not G.FAST?
FTTP
2862 works fine as such all Draytek routers work fine with BT Internet.
I use Draytek some 20 Years from 2800 now on 2927 and had the 2860 and 2862. All worked fine
Thx

It should be simple. 4 steps in all.
Try factory resetting the router and then go through process of setting up with PPPoE settings.
Maybe connect to WAN1 port instead of WAN2?
I have Vigor 2927Lac on loan and have managed to get online but d/l speeds appear to be abysmal, something that I am investigating.
The Vigor 2927Lac is a nice piece of kit. Very quick failover to 4G and back again. Dual WANs with load balancing, so if you are fortunate to have two connections via ethernet cable then can link them with load balancing and failover.
Is there any particular reason you keep posting on months old threads?
Helps with anyone searching for posts on the topic. At least they can see the responses.
