Re: Fibre 2 slower than Fibre 1

Thanks for your help so far, but is moving the cable over on the same socket using the same wires really going to make much difference?

It doesn't account for the fact I lost 10mbs download overnight on the same equipment when switching to a 'faster' service...

Re: Fibre 2 slower than Fibre 1

Its not the fact you are using the same wires, its because removing the faceplate disconnects your internal wiring which could be impacting the circuit.

Re: Fibre 2 slower than Fibre 1

I tried the filter into the test socket with no difference.

I asked BT to put me back on Fibre 1 which they have done.

My line is now sync'ing at a faster speed...not quite what it was on speedtest, but better than when on the Fibre 2 profile.  Seems odd to me, but there you go.

Re: Fibre 2 slower than Fibre 1

Your up speed is above the max 10mb for fibre 1 so maybe not on fibre 1

Re: Fibre 2 slower than Fibre 1

No it's strange, got an email to say I had been regraded and my payments set back to Fibre 1 price I was paying, but then got another email with sort of mixed messages about speeds etc.
