Hi,
I upgraded on the 29th to Fibre 2 from Fibre 1.
My speed has gone down to 38mb/s, whereas I got a constant 48mb/s when on Fibre 1. My upload speed has increased from 9mb/s to 14mb/s.
I use a Draytek Vigor 2762 and don't really want to install the BT Hub to do tests.
Anyone suggest anything?
Thanks
if you could only get 48mb connection on fibre 1 then I can't see why you would upgrade to fibre 2 as your down wont get any faster unless it was just faster up speed you wanted
which exchange and cab are you on?
OK good to know, thanks.
My check on the broadband availability site said I should get a low of 65mbs down. Not sure where you're meant to find out otherwise.
Harrow cabinet 89.
My handback value is 57mbs, so presumably I can just cancel this 'upgrade' with no issue?
How would I do that in these testing times?
can you post some stats from your router
can you also post dslchecker results using phone number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
This OK?
can you check your line for noise dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
Have you tried using the test socket with a filter to see if that improves your connection and attainable speeds
Quiet line sounded...quiet..don't have a corded phone, but I couldn't hear anything.
I have an Openreach MK1 socket - do I need to open it up for this test?
My attainable speed was 49000 ish when on Fibre 1 up until this Friday when Fibre 2 was put in place.
test socket shown here you need to remove the middle section first shown by yellow arrow
was quiet line test done with cordless phone?
Yes, cordless phone only available.
So I need a filter as well if using this socket?
Thanks for the suggestions, this may take a little longer to organise.
yes the rj11 cable from hub will not fit
