We have just joined BT Business with a Business Smart Hub 2 after leaving Talk Talk. The support has been very good, with customer services calling, and engineers arriving next day to try and sort out our problem, but it is still ongoing, so I’m posting on the community to see if anyone can help. The problem we have is dramatically fluctuating download speeds (from as low as 18Mbps to as high as 40Mbps in a matter of seconds) We now have a new cable run from our telephone pole, and a new socket, and still have the same problem. I am testing using the BT websites. The speed into our router is a constant 55Mbs. The speed tests out of our router are done with an Ethernet cable into a laptop when there are no other devices connected, and they are all over the place. Does anyone have any ideas? I am wondering if the DLM (Dynamic Line Management) is faulty on our line, since this regulates speeds, it has been reset twice to date. Thanks for any help…
