Hi, is it possible to watch normal TV channels on BT TV App on a laptop?

No. We don't have the rights to broadcast all the Freeview channels that come down your TV aerial.
The BT TV app can only be used for channels that you directly pay BT a subscription.

Just use the broadcaster specific apps such a BBC iPlayer for BBC programmes, ITV Player for ITV programmes etc.

Thank you for the response. Are there any plans to allow these channels to be able to be played on Windows Laptop? They seem to work ok on an iPad.

All the channels you can watch in the BT TV app on an iPad are also available in the BT TV app on Windows.  Could you please give an example of a channel you can watch on iPad that you can't on a laptop?  I think maybe we're talking about different things?

Sorry, you are correct I cannot view but I can set programmes to record or record a services from the iPad but not my laptop.

OK yes - the mobile/tablet apps allow you to pair with your BT TV box to remotely set/manage recordings. This functionality isn't available on the web and there are no plans to add it.
