Hi all,
My Home Hub 4 seems to be incredibly temperamental lately - it's keeps disconnecting from devices, and if you try to reconnect you get an authentication error. The only way to reconnect is to power cycle the hub - which is rather annoying as this throws everyone else off the network until it restarts. Extra annoying when the kids are trying to connect to their school lessons and we are trying to WFH.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any tips? Or is the hub just knackered?
If you are on FTTC then you must be using a modem in addition to your hh4 so it is just the wireless connections that have problems or are Ethernet connections also affected
No modem - just the HH.
Wired connections are unaffected - it's just wireless devices that get disconnected, seemingly at random.
If you only have a home hub 4, then you are on an ADSL connection, not fibre. The HH4 only works on an ADSL connection.
Try a factory reset of the home hub.
Then turn off smart setup.
