BT have sent me a smart hub 2 to replace my previous router.
I have tried using the same wires to just mimic the same setup as before but end up with a flashing orange light never seems to connect. The main difference being the old router had a "wan" socket. Where is that wire connection supposed to go now that I have no clear "wan" socket on the new router?
My set up currently is I have a open reach MK3 socket. One wire connects to an old white open reach box into "dsl" and then the "lan" connects to the router into the Wan.
The second wire connects from MK3 to an ADSL filter. Which then connects to the DSL connection on the router.
Help appreciated.

You no longer need the white Openreach modem. Unplug the lead from the DSL socket on the modem and plug it in the DSL socket on the new hub.

Re: Installing smart hub 2
Thank you! Not sure if the extra loop of the old moden was causing the problem or I'd just done it wrong to begin with but this helped me solve it!
