Morning all,
Would be interested in people's thoughts. Over the last couple of weeks we've been really struggling with speeds in the daytime particularly, and with two of us working from home needing consistent access this is becoming a problem.
As an example getting high 20's download speed this morning and now it's pretty poor and very variable (as an example check on fast.com from phone currently saying 130kbps). Here are the stats from the router below if that helps.
Thanks in advance
Nick
BT Wi-fi:Activated
your connection time is only 19hrs is that due to hub dropping connection or manual reset?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
you need to test your download speed using an ethernet connection not over wifi as wifi is subject possible interference from within your home
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
Thanks very much for your reply.
Quiet line test done (unfortunately only have a cordless phone), but sounded silent.
Download speed via ethernet 0.8mbps when just checked.
Results from checker below:
Sorry, forgot to say - manual reset
can your run btspeedtester and post results must be with ethernet connection

have you been doing a few manual resets trying to get better speed?
Apologies - just realised I posted this on the fibre forum and not the ADSL one - could anyone advise how I can move this over?
You are on the correct forum, you have VDSL (FTTC) not ADSL.
