Internet conneciton not fully working

The internet connection is fine, I have run several speed tests and they all came out fairly positive. Usually everything works as it is supposed to, google works, apss that require the wifi work and I have no problems with donwloads and uploads. Unfortunately, I have been notcing some issues. While everyhting works just fine it seems as if apps that require a strong and stable internet connection simply don't work. MMO games barely connect with servers and live streams have very bad quality. For example Counter-Strike works, if I were to play a match, it would easily connect me, however if I were to make any actions that would require me sending data to the game servers like moving or shooting, then it is as if I wasn't connected at all. It displays that the ping is low and that there are no connection problems but when I try to do anything, it is simply just unplayabe. The same thing happens with other games that need a lot of data to be sent back and forth, this can include; Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, GTA V and Call of Duty. They all have the same exact problem. It is as if I cannot move at all. It is just simply unplayable. I have tried reseting my computer and the router. I "forgot" the router name and logged back in several times, disconnected and connected and yet nothing fixes it. I am simply not sure what to do. Please help?

Re: Internet conneciton not fully working

Hi @Olik,

I am sorry to hear about the problems you've had trying to connect to different game servers.

What speeds are you getting both for download and upload? If you load up GTA V and have story mode on, I take it you can move around freely?

Thanks

Re: Internet conneciton not fully working

Yes, on story mode everything works like it is supoosed to be working. On average I get around 55 Mbps for download and 15 Mbps for upload. As I said anything that involvs offline mode works fine, it is when I switch to play with others that it turns to be unplayable.

Re: Internet conneciton not fully working

Thanks @Olik,

I know you mentioned using a wireless connection, can you connect your device using an ethernet cable? It would be best if you could do this so we can rule out wireless as the problem. Do you have any consoles or other gaming PC's in your home that you could try any of the online games on? For Call of Duty, is it on a PC? Are you able to see the latency in game? For the MMO's, do they say what the server latency is or world latency?

Thanks

DanielS
