Hi,
I have a widescreen LG monitor that can split the screen into 4. However I need to download firmware to my MacBook. I can get onto the LG firmware site but when I try and download the firmware it tells me that the site can't provide a secure connection. I have spoken to LG helpline and they stated that it was my provider that was blocking it.. Any help would be appreciated

Have you got parental controls or web protect enabled?
Is the site HTTPS or just HTTP? If the latter, it is probably either your browser or AV complaining.
Hi
Thanks for the reply
No to the web protect and Parent controls
Its a HTTPS site
In most cases it is your web browser or your antivirus that gives that warning because there is a problem with the web site that you are using
If it is your browser that is blocking it you could try turning off any antivirus/malware addons or try another browser.
Thanks for reply.
I have tried with google chrome and safari.
the only protection I have is apple protection
Which model monitor is it, I'll see if it works for me to discount BT blocking it.
Thanks its LG Ultrawide 25UM58-P
Downloaded fine for me, OSC and DC for MAC.
Likewise for me, downloaded no problem which would tend to indicate it is not BT blocking it.
Thanks Mate,
I just tried it again and it worked ?? I have been trying for a week and then it worked weird !!!
Thanks ever so much 🙂
