Landline phone activation

BT engineer appointment booked between 8am and 12pm  on the 29th June 2021  engineer did not enter premises  due to phone socket previously installed from previous Tennant 

Received text saying your phone line will be activated by 23.59pm  that day i will receive a text to say when activated  

How long should activation take 

And who  do i contact if not activated

Its normally activated within 24 hours. If its not, then ring BT on 0800 800 150, and a visit by Openreach will be arranged right away.
