No, just place the order for the line. You will at some point, get an email confirming the order, and it may tell you the number that has been allocated.

You must wait until it is actually working on the new number, before you request the re-number.

Depending on how many calls are likely to be made, you may wish to choose a calls package, as the default is PAYG at 20p a minute.

Thank you for your help @Keith_Beddoe I have now placed the order. Install date is scheduled for 17 Feb 21.

Do i post her or renumbering or i need to call bt customer service?

Hi @Keith_Beddoe 

All went well and I got the number back!! 

Line was reconnected yesterday, after it was done I spoke to CS who allocated and arranged the renumbering for today (18 Feb) this was actioned by bt engineer Jeremy and a big thanks to him. All gone smoothly and all working.

The engineer, if they visited, would be from Openreach not BT.
