Mini Whole Home WiFi doesn't connect to the strongest signal

One of my Mini Whole Home WiFi discs is close to a strong signal from another disc, but it sometimes connects weakly to the base unit.

We lose connection when it switches between the weak and the strong signal which is really annoying.

Any one know how do we get it to connect to the strong nearby unit rather than the weak base unit?

(I'm using the latest firmware.)
