Missing emails

Can anyone suggest what has gone wrong here? I have been alerted to emails which have been sent to me but which have not been received. This problem is confined to 2 known senders, although I am nervous, obviously, that there might be more.

The BT helpdesk asserts that there is nothing that they can do - I was once a BT subscriber (hence my email address) but left to join EE (wirelessly) when the landline broadband would not function adequately. EE is now part of BT, as it happens!)

Putting my surprise at BT on one side, I am struggling to know what I can do about the missing emails - which are not diverted to Spam or Trash. However, I have noticed that BOTH senders use gmail.

Solved. 

Someone else asked a similar question, and a helpful contributor directed her to settings, where the domain 'gmail.com' had been blocked for some reason.

 

Now unblocked and working well.
