Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

@jam2000  I was just looking at the tv packages and I expect you will have to take a new tv package or re new a contract.  The VIP package is now £73.00 includes Netflix on two screens. The other packages only have basic Netflix on 1 screen.

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

Having read the help pages, it doesn’t answer my question. I have Netflix separately and paying for the UHD package. My Bt says I can now add Netflix to my existing VIP package and receive standard Netflix and/or you can upgrade. So if I added Netflix do I pay the difference between the standard and Premium? If I can add, how do I? My add-ons are Amazon Video, Hayu and Box Nation. No Netflix?

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

Another change with ropey communication.

There appears to be no way to transfer an existing Netflix account over despite all the indication in marketing to say there is. If you log out of your existing account you are asked to sign up to a new account, there is no ‘access’ to Netflix that comes with the existing BT plan.

Why are BT’s marketing team letting this stuff go live?!

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

Hi

When you activate your Netflix through BT, we will switch your Netflix billing to BT. You’ll get the option to keep the Netflix plan that you’re on and you will keep your account details including your personal profiles and all the shows you’re watching. If you have Netflix with a third party, then you’ll need to cancel this directly with them.

Thanks

Neil

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

I’m sorry but this is another situation where the information is just blatantly wrong (like the MS Xbox Ultimate debacle for existing subscribers!).

There is nowhere to ‘activate’ Netflix and bring this information over. The BT website simply has a button to take you to Netflix and there is no account setting at their end that enables this transfer.

It is - yet again - an appalling attention to customer communication.

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

@StewM  if you have a look at

https://www.bt.com/assets/pdf/BT_PhoneTariff_Residential.pdf

there is within the table TV Packages that Add-ons can be taken with

an indication that Netflix Standard Addon can be upgraded to Netflix Premium for a further  £4

Re: Netflix now part of BT packages

Hi @zulu17 , yes not checked that. Thank you.

Just need to work out how to add my existing Netflix account to my BT as there is no option to do.

(Rather ironic that on the legacy package I had Netflix, but when I transferred to the new packages they forgot to re-add it back on. The only way to add it back on was to re-contract my package, so I reverted back to a stand alone Netflix).

Also, wanted to reactivate Britbox, but can’t keeps coming up with an error message.
