Newbie to BT Tv

Go to solution

Hi All,

So having had sky for 10 years I have got to the point I simply cannot afford their prices anymore. Been looking into BT for TV but I need to know a few bits.

1. I have 2 mini boxes with sky, Can I do the same with BT? I do have a samsung smart TV in one of the rooms can I use that along with 1 extra box?

2. What Bandwidth do I need for 4K content?

3. Can I get free to air channels on the smart TV app?

Thanks

1. You can only have a maximum of 1 extra box. You can take an extra box subscription if you want it, although it depends on what you want to be able to watch on the other TVs as to whether you need it - apps are available for BT Sport, BT TV, and Now TV for many different smart TVs, dongles, and games consoles.

2. You need 44Mbps or above to get 4k Sport on the BT TV set top box.

3. Free to air channels are only available via a TV aerial.
