I can hear some crackling in my phone. It’s not obviously loud but it’s definitely crackly.
what is the cause of this noisy line and is it affecting my broadband connection?
noise on your phone line will certainly affect your broadband connection. you need to ensure the problem is not caused by faulty master socket or your internal wiring so you need to connect a filter to test socket which is behind master faceplate then try quite line test - dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and any noise is a problem and need to be reported to CS 150 or 0800800150 from mobile
