We used the text service and had a call tonight on my husbands mobile where someone has now resolved this for us. Our line should be connected tomorrow. Many Thanks for all your help on the forum. In fact we just checked and it is connected now! finally have a landline.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. The BT person I spoke to insisted it was a problem with my new Digital handset and arranged for a new one to be sent out. Having found this thread and checked that the phone configuration on my smart hub 2 is greyed out, I know it's not a handset problem.
How do I get to the right team within BT to get this resolved?
try phoning the FTTP TEAM who deal with DV 08005874787
