ONT to SH2 to Router or ONT to Router to SH2

Hi

Have FTTP and had disappointing Wi-Fi coverage even using the discs (they seem to have very slow speeds)

We get 1.1Gbps on Ethernet from the SH2. We have quite a few Wifi6 enabled devices so have opted for Asus GT-AX11000 router.

As we have advanced digital phones we still need the SH2 however is it possible to connect the Asus to the ONT and then the SH2 into Asus with Wi-Fi turned off/hidden? Or will the SH2 need to go directly into the ONT

Unfortunately the SH2 needs to connect directly to the ONT for digital voice to work.
