Openreach
Forgive the silly question, but just purchased a new house that doesn't have a master socket by the front door, but instead comes equipped with this - could someone advise what this is? I assume a modem? Many thanks

Re: Openreach
Its an ONT, an optical modem. You have full fibre to your house, there will be no copper phone line. You can order a broadband service with or without a voice service.
Call the FTTP team on 0800 587 4787 if you wish to order from BT.

Re: Openreach
I think its called an ONT. It looks identical to the one in a new house i've just bought, and i can now get full fibre/fibre to the property rather than fibre to the cabinet that i had at my old address.
You can go to the openreach website and enter your postcode and it will confirm what kind of BB is available.
