Phone line
Fibre to the house has been promised within a year. Fibre is always referred to as Fibre Broadband. Does this mean the telephone will continue on the copper wires or will it also be coming down the fibre ?

Re: Phone line
Might be either. However, it is more than likely that you will be offered Digital Voice which is delivered via the fibre broadband. The copper network is due to be closed down by 2025, but that is fairly unlikely to be achieved.

Re: Phone line
Thanks for quick response. Will Digital Voice on fibre be same tariff as the copper wire service?
We pledged to subscribe to fibre once it is installed in our village and assumed it would include telephone line rental but now we are having second thoughts

Re: Phone line
The tariff is exactly the same regardless of delivery medium.
