Poor speed after install

I've just switched to sky from BT.

I'm on fibre 2  expected 50Mb - 73Mb and guarantee of 45Mb. When I was on Sky I was just on 50mb.

I went live 3 days ago and initial speed tests were 42mb but now its down to 32.

Is this drop expected. Is it still likely to go back up and settle in the expected range? I know its expected to fluctuate but wasn't expecting the lower range.

I switched from sky to get better faster broadband.

Thanks for advice.

Re: Poor speed after install

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Re: Poor speed after install

have you tried using the test socket with a filter to see if that improves your connection speed  test socket is behind the front plate of the master socket

if you connect to test socket please repost hub stats
