We upgraded to Halo 2 last year, and it worked quite well but we are experiencing problems with gaming on our sons consoles.
I've tested the speeds but have no clue if they are any good or not.
The download speed is 10 mb and upload speed is 1.2 mb. It says its OK but I can't find anything as to what they should be.
We also have a very old wire coming into the house to a old GPO box, could that be causing a problem?
Thanks
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Not sure if this is correct? I'm not very technical!
Are you able to post the results from the dslchecker as that will show what is available to you and expected speed range
stats missing the top showing in particular connection time
are you able to try quiet line test
That is an ASDL2 connection, not fibre, so your post is now on the correct board.
I think Halo 2 only applies to "fibre" (VDSL) connections. You are just on standard broadband, with no upgrade options available.
Your noise margin is very high were you previously having problems with connection dropping which has now stabilised as you now have 8 days conenction time
which master socket so you have
