I've been doing a "home security audit" and one thing that stands out to me is my low mounted CSP and fibre cables for my FTTP. The Fibre is delivered via pole and then travels to the bottom of the house, I'm a bit worries that any would-be crim would be able to snip this cable and take out the internet connection.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to protect these cables from someone snipping them? I know that if they want to they'll do it anyway, but I'm looking to make it more difficult.
Maybe some galvanised steel capping. You should be able to find a smallish size to suit quite cheaply. The only problem is that it is great for straight runs but not so good for any curves.
What’s to stop the would-be crim from cutting the fibre tail going up the Pole?
