I'm a new customer today, and having imported my contacts from a previous email server (eMClient) I cannot get it to display in alphabetical order, either by first name or surname. The BT Help is non-existent. Any clues?

Go to the contact page and if you look at the list of contacts you will see a search box. To the right of the "magnifying glass" there is an arrow. Click on it and select how you want the contacts listed.
EmClient is a mail client not a server. Why have you stopped using it with BT mail?
