BT are migrating customers in batches, to prepare for this you're sent a Smart Hub 2 in advance, connect it once you receive it.
BT will at some point then start the process to migrate you and the other customers who have received the hub in advance, it could be weeks, it could be months, the important part is you're ready in advance by connecting the new hub, wait for the next update which will say when the migrating will be done, when it does happen unplug your phone from the master socket and connect to the phone port on the back.

Thank you imjolly,  Then yes, i do have FTTP which runs my internet, but i also still have the old copper line for my phone.
