Pressing the record button will not achieve this because the “system” seems to think, from the error message, that I am actually watching a program that finished hours ago. Unplugging the box for a while, then restarting it, seemed to enable the button to record the current program. However, this effect didn’t persist for very long before reverting to the previous problem.
