Router - Cable - Length

Does anyone know what is the max length of ethernet cable I can run from my BT router to another device?  Trying to get internet int my garage and Wifi wont reach.

Its the standard length restriction for Ethernet Cat 5E and above cable.

Lol - sorry, please don't be offended 😀. I had googled the max length for Cat 5 and found it was 100m, however , I am more concerned that a consumer grade router may not have the signal strength required to send a signal that far.

the limitation is more to do with propagation time of the signal rather than power limitations.

Doesn't matter these days, Ethernet devices are virtually all auto sensing now.
