Good evening,
My VPN provider has confirmed that there is a temporary routing issue in BT UK towards Italy. There's not a lot they can do from their side as it is ISP related.
I've tried to connect to different servers like USA, France or Germany and they all work fine.
Can you please confirm this issue is currently looking after? what's the timeline? is there something I can do from my side?
many thanks
Jacopo
If you mean what I think you mean, then I believe there is nothing temporary about it.
BT blocked anyone in Italy (be it British tourists with a subscription or Italian residents) from accessing BT Sport a few years back, I can't remember the reason but Google might be able to tell you.
@JacopoZ This is a customer to customer BT Retail forum only. Any potential issued with inbound or outbound internet traffic from or to Italy via a VPN will not be dealt with by BT Retail.
If you want to elaborate on the actual situation you are facing, someone might be able to point you in the right direction but I'd imagine the part of BT Group that would deal with it would not be available for a member of the general public to speak with..
thanks, I'm trying to find someone that can help as the VPN provider cannot help me further.
In the list of servers they are providing, the only one not working is the one in Italy. They have checked and the server is on, so they cannot do anything else. They only suggested that there is a routing problem but it's already one week that I cannot use the VPN.
I understand it's not a retail problem, should I open a ticket with BT?
thanks, It's not about streaming, it's a paid service with VPN, I'm trying to connect to one of their servers
I suspect the two are related
