Re: Signal Dropping out all the time, for the past 2 Weeks. Never happened on my Home Hub 3

@Hevski77

Out-of-band noise consists of radio frequencies above the upper limit of ADSL2, which is 2.2MHz.  Its nothing to do with traffic noise, but is usually caused by pickup of short wave radio signals, on any overhead section of the external network. This is normally worse after dark.

The HH3 and HH4 reject these signals, but the HH5,6, and smart hubs, will detect these signals, and they can cause it to lose connection, especially on lines with high attenuation.

Thanks for that @Keith_Beddoe . A lot of people (not here) just said yes, you should probably just get another HH3, and that it was more suited for ASDL lines, over longer distances, but didn’t really give a detailed explanation like that, thank you. Probably answers a lot of other peoples question too!
