Slow Internet Connection - Getting worse every day

Hello.

I upgraded my broadband plan to Halo 2 last February, I was very pleased with having speeds ranging between 110MB to 156MB at any given time. Once we went into lockdown I noticed a dropped in the broadband speed so it went down to 86MB - 105MB in average. I didn't report the issue as I assumed this was due to the whole country being at home using their residential internet service 24/7.

However, by the end of May the speed tests I ran (mostly between 10pm and 1AM) showed the broadband speed dropped even more, ranging between 64MB to 85MB. I've tried resetting the Hub many times and also tried to reach out to BT customer services (didn't get through via phone calls). So, by June this year I made a complaint through the website and two weeks later I got an e-mail saying there was a fault and an engineer will be sent to sort the issue. He came in on the 26th of June and he said he did some "hard reset" to the hub and that the problem was sorted. Speeds went up to 90MB / 110MB, but for only a couple of days.

My current download speed is ranging between 40MB and 80MB (See speed test reports below (Date: 13-Aug-2020)

No new devices or new wifi connections made since upgraded to Halo2. Any help or idea of what can I do?

Many thanks

Hi @pippincp  thanks for your reply.
I did the quiet line test as you suggested. I’m not too sure what the outcome of this test should be, but I can’t hear any noise on the line. At lest the “quiet line test” sentence can be heard loud and clear 🙂
