Thanks to you and all the other contributors. I have a perfectly happy system and a spare hub in the cupboard.  I do wonder though that even you guys who know about this stuff seem to be at odds with some of the detail. If I were in BT customer services I would wonder why my products were not better explained and understood by my customers.
