I have have BT broadband for many years and I am not more than 100 yrds from the green box, I have between 65 and 75 download speeds but over the last few months my ping moves from 20 to 250 to 500 and then 20 again all the time on gaming servers. I play pc games and have done so for 20 odd years. I am hard wired to the router and all that checks out fine. The odd thing is I get a better and more table ping through my mobile phone (Vodaphone).
My kids both have xboxes which do the same even if the are the only ones on line.
I just can not work out what is happening, I pay silly amounts for my broadband and I am at the end of my tether!!
