I recently up graded to a new "smarthub2" which appears to work fine. Apart from when I'm uploading a stream, it drops from 5Mbps to 0 every 5 minutes for 30 seconds. My old setup of an old openreach modem and a Linksys router is 100% reliable. I'm connected using FTTC. My line speed has also dropped from a regular 40 Mbps to 25Mbps.
