Yes I did swap the cable - I did have an older cable but put the Cat 5 cable supplied with the new hub on - no obvious difference.

Update
Over the weekend I am told that BT did a soft cessation to my profile in the hope this would restore my upload speed to the level it was in the week I purchased Halo 1. This has had no effect. Today I had a phone call from the BT help desk person who is dealing with my complaint. The outcome of the conversation was that BT can do no more for me and while I did get the speeds I was told I would get initially something has changed and they do not know what that is so basically I have to accept 80/10 although I am paying for 80/20. A suggestion to reduce my bill was not acceptable to BT so I have now escalated the complaint (I thought it was already escalated !)
I wonder if anyone else has had the same issue and would like to get in touch to see if it can be resolved for all of us?
I await the outcome of a Managers review.....
