What Does This Icon Mean and is it Preventing Me From Removing Devices?

Go to solution

I am trying to remove two devices that I no longer own, (sold them a couple of weeks ago), from the list on my Smart Hub 2 under Advanced Settings > My Network > My Devices. Both of them have the Remove button in grey, which I believe means that the Hub thinks that the devices are still connected? I have also noticed that both of these devices have a number 6 in the device icon. What does this signify?

Is this preventing me from deleting the devices, and is there any way that I can do so short of Factory Resetting the SH2? The DHCP Lease Time is set to 1 day 0 hours (in case that is relevant).

It just means the device is/was connected using IPv6. Click the refresh button and see if that turns the icon grey, if not just ignore it. Its just a meaningless list of devices, 'removing' it doesn't do anything other than deleting the icon from the list and releasing the IP address for other devices.

@licquorice

OK, I'll ignore them then - thanks for the explanation.

In the same vein, what does the "D" in other device icons signify?

Dual stack, i.e IPv4 and IPv6 capability
