When I check my speed using BT's own speed checker I get 149 down and 39 up - every time I check - that makes me suspicious!
Using any of the many other speed check websites gives me around 40 down and 40 up.
How can I find out the correct speed?
Colin

Re: What is the correct speed?
I use the Ookla Speed Test app on my phone which is connected on the 5GHz band.
I'm aware that Wi-fi testing isn't the most reliable method but it usually shows my speed to be greater than my minimum guaranteed so I'm not fussed.

Re: What is the correct speed?
Ookla gives me 36/31 - before I accepted the free offer to upgrade to 150 I was getting at least 50 so I'm going to be complaining!!!

Re: What is the correct speed?
post the results of the btspeedtester when using ethernet connection not wifi https://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/
there are no guarantees on download especially when using wireless which is prone to interference
post your hub stats

I phoned BT and was advised to use fast.com.
Speeds are consistently around 120 🙂
