Why does it take 7 days to receive an MMS message

as the title says..

if someone sends me a MMS message it takes around 5-7 days before the message is delivered to my phone ?

Yes, you may need to update your settings. Also a software update of your phone may also solve this if you haven't or ignored software update requests.

How long has the problem been going on for?
