Wifi - Separate Channels, what does it do

Hi,

If I change the setting for Separate WiFi Channels from On to Off what difference does it make?

Why would I need one or the other?

Re: Wifi - Separate Channels, what does it do

Some devices are 2.4Ghz only, some devices are 5Ghz only and some devices are dual band. 2.4Ghz has a greater range but is slower than 5Ghz

From that you should be able to deduce the effect of switching one or the other off.

Not really,
I've got a mix of 2.4 Ghz, 5Ghz and dual band devices.
What should I set it to?

Are you having problems with the wifi, if not leave both switched on and your devices should select the most appropriate for them.
