Will my old line be removed?

Go to solution

Hello,

I’ve recently moved house and currently I have a Master Socket 5C situated in my living room, away from a power supply. I’m waiting for my line to be upgraded to fibre, and I was told when an OpenReach engineer attended several weeks ago that I will need a new point put in on my kitchen wall by the power supply (I’m unsure on the name of the new socket which requires power?), by drilling through into through the external wall and installing a new line.

My dilemma is, my current line goes in through the top of my front door and is currently actually hanging across the door and you have to dodge it when coming in and out of the house. Is anyone aware if this line is likely to be removed when my line is upgraded? Or is this something I’ll need to request?

Then you will need to ask Sky about this, or post on the Sky User Forum.

This is the BT Retail customer forum, and has nothing to do with Openreach, who provide the network.
