Wire put up on side of house without permission

AD421AA0-3F34-4118-AB05-5379BADDEC06.jpeg

Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows what this wire is. It has appeared on the side of our house. It has a label on it that says caution overhead fibre. Not sure if it’s for next door’s internet? Or if anything to do with BT just curious what it could be. Thanks

This is a BT Consumer forum , that equipment has nothing to to with ‘BT’.

If it’s Openreach ( it probably is ) then unless it’s used to give you service , then it shouldn’t be placed on private property without permission ( wayleave )

Ask your neighbour and tell them next time to ask before having anything attached to your property if it's theirs?

I wouldn't be happy!

That’s CBT, Connectorised Block Terminal, aka FTTP DP.

I’d imagine it’s been placed there as there’s a Copper DP, the BT66b to the right of it and it’s normal to place them next to each other.

Its not uncommon for rows of Terrace or Town Houses to have an External Type DP on one of the houses.
