Won't accept valid email for BT ID when activating

When filling out the form to activate my BT ID account, the email is prefilled, and this email is one ending in "nhs.scot".

When submitting the form I get an error:

"Please enter a valid email address e.g. john.smith@example.com"

My email is valid!! How do I resolve this?

Welcome and thanks for your post!

Sorry  for the problems you're having setting up your BTID.  I understand the website won't accept your email domain.  We could look into this for you but to be honest it would take us some time to get to the bottom of this.

If you had an alternative email address to use that would get things sorted much quicker?  Do you have one you could use?  Post back and let me know please.

Thanks for the answer. The email was pre-registered with BT by phone and is prefilled in in the email sent for me to activate my account.

Would it matter if I therefore create another account with a separate email address?
