iPlayer on Philips Android TV

I'm having issues with the iPlayer and Freeview Play apps on my Philips 50PUS8535/12 TV which is under six months old.

To access the iPlayer or Freeview Play apps, I have to change the DNS settings on the TV either to the Google ones (8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4) or back to the default ISP ones, and need to alternate between the two after the TV has been put on standby. Philips Support have said it's an ISP issue, so I wondered if there's a setting I need to change in the Smart Hub 2 Manager to ensure this works? TV is connected directly to the router through ethernet.
